AI/fake art is predictably becoming yet another N/F/T type grift, to the point where it's probably worth rejecting outright, even as an ideation tool. Every art platform, including #deviantart, is now just thousands of new accounts of people typing a seed phrase, pushing the "generate image" button, and posting the output to get traffic and game the algorithms. Many of the generated images even revealingly include the virtually-intact signature of the original artists that the AI bot stole/laundered artworks from. None of this is remotely related to artistic expression, and I really hope it receives just as much community derision and backlash as the other thing.
